Dante’s Inferno – Preview
Are any of the following game titles some of your favs, God of War, Castlevania, and Devil May Cry? If so then there’s a game that’s coming out next year, that’s a deadly yet fun cocktail mixture of the previous mentioned games. The game I am talking about is called Dante’s Inferno. That’s right, (DMC) Devil May Cry fans there’s a new Dante on the block and he is looking to take over the infamous name of Dante among the Sony Playstaion world. Let me tell you friend it’s looking like this could possibly happen. The demo holds up really good and gives you a sweet, mouth-watering taste of the game. It takes place during the Holy Crusades and you’re a Knights Templar in King Richard’s Army. During these Crusades Dante has done and performed many unholy things, which I will let you find out as you play the demo. Basically you (Dante) have been convinced that your Bishop has absolve you of all the horrid sins you have committed. Turn’s out you couldn’t be more wrong, Death is coming for that ass to make you pay for your unholy sins. So to hell we go but Dante says “ hell no we won’t go” and slugs it out with Death. Can you survive the battle with Death to save your and Dante’s souls? I sure hope so since it is the only boss type fight in the demo and you have to win the battle to finish the demo.
The controls are very simple if you have played god of war before, then you will have no problem with the combo system, it’s basically a button masher. There’s Holy combat skills to use which is called your cross attacks. Example you can throw 3 big blue glowing crosses at your foes and vaporize them. It kind of reminds me of Castlevania also it has the goth kind of feel to it in a way. You also have Unholy moves, these are your basic hack-n-slash moves and you get to use a few of these moves in the demo. If you grab an opponent you can either perform an execution (Unholy) or absolve (Holy). Doing these finishing moves will give you experience points for holy and unholy skill upgrades. This being said it leaves me wondering if this is a karma system, which may lead to different endings, we can only hope so. There’s also a meter that when filled it allows you to go into Redemption mode, it’s kind of like the Rage of the Titan’s mode in God of War (GOW). You become super charged as in stronger and faster. In order for you to fill the Redemption you must do stylish combo’s, tell me that doesn’t sound like Devil May Cry, fighting with style. I should also tell you this game has Quick Time Events (QTE). Button mashing during certain animations/cut scenes, nice thing is the buttons you have to push during these are in a pattern, so if you mess up don’t worry just learn the pattern.
The camera angles in the demo are good they never feel to awkward. The angles flows very natural with you as you run place to place. The music can be very dramatic at time and it sets the mood for the locations you visit in the demo. You will visit 3 locations in the demo and I must say the graphics are pretty good. Only problem is I have noticed it does get blotchy sometimes. I’m sure they will have this fixed by time the game is released next year. I highly recommend playing this demo, I’m sure most people will like it. It seems to have a solid story; controls are good, graphics good, music good, and camera good, all seems to be good so far. It’s in the PS store to download in most regions. If it’s not in you PS store’s region I would say make an US account and give this demo a try. I honestly think it’s worth the extra effort if necessary. Don’t be a fool, Just play it already.

Nice, it is still a demo I need to play, out of the 19 others I downloaded LMAO. Might do it today when I get home since Sons of Anarchy isn’t back on until Sept. 2010
*whimpers*
Anyway, good preview, keep it up, and do more!!!
